Nyctea, the Storm World Updated January 28th, 2006 |

Welcome to Storm World, a realm ravaged by brutal tempests of wind and rain. It is a land where the sun is seldom seen, and rain never ceases. Winter drags on for nearly half of the year while summer offers only a short respite from the unyielding cold. The Storm World is a land of glorious beauty, but among the peace-loving citizens of the realm, is a bestiary of denizens which horrify the senses and corrupt the soul. This realm is the home to the noble and wise races of humankind, and tormented by beasts of malevolent evil. Mysticism is known by few, but feared by many. Among the vast terrain and harsh climate lie pockets of civilization, protected from the wandering evil by walls of wood and stone. A noble and brave band of adventurers could try and tame this wild realm, and make a name for themselves in the Halls of Heathandrus. |

| 01/28/2006 | Turn 200 has been processed. The Nyctean Campaign is now officially retired. What a wonderful campaign it was to run. I hope that everyone who was able to participate enjoyed it even half as much as I enjoyed creating it. There will be no more turns processed in Nyctea, and the game has given way to others (such as the Campaign opf Scandiaca), but I will always remember the campaign that got it all started. Thanks to everyone, and good luck in your next campaign, whatever it may be. -Brian

| 11/26/2005 | Turn 191 has been processed. It is finally time to say goodbye to a long-running campaign. Nyctea will process one more game calendar year (starting with turn 191) and finish with turn 200. Although I am saddened to see this campaign come to an end, I am happy to bring an even more enjoyable second incarnation (Campaign of Scandiaca). The new campaign will begin by January 2006. I want to thank everyone who played and helped to make the Campaign of Nyctea such a great experience and a great success. For those of you waiting to begin Scandiaca, the site will be up and open to the public in a few more weeks. Premier members will be able to start early.
